Hilarious. Everyone was great. I enjoyed myself. Annette Benning plays a poet wannabe. Alec Baldwin plays her husband who drinks out of frustration over his wife. Joseph Cross plays their son Agustin who dreams of being a hairstylist. The psychiatrist who treats them is off beat in a well meaning way. Jill Clayburgh plays his wife. Gwyneth Paltrow plays the favorite daughter who is nuts. Evan Rachel Wood plays the other daughter who becomes close to Augustin.
It's hilarious and sad story of a boy who's mother was so into becoming an acknowledged poet and who's father gave up on the family. A boy who despite his wacky upbringing survived.
